Juliane House is Professor emeritus of Applied Linguistics at Hamburg University, Germany, Director of Arts and Science programs at Hellenic American University, Athens, Greece and President of the International Association for Translation and Intercultural Studies. Her research interests are translation, discourse analysis, contrastive pragmatics and English as a lingua franca. Her publications include Translation Quality Assessment: A Model Revisited, Multilingual Communication and Translation.
