摘要、提要註:
Yee Wah Foo's research on Fu Bingchang has put on the map a relatively unknown, but important character in China's modern history (he was China's signatory to the United Nations and played a pivotal role in China's acceptance by the Big Three; he negotiated on a number of important treaties, including the Sino-Soviet Treaty of 1945; and he was China's ambassador to Soviet Russia during WW2.) This is not a gentle account of an old diplomat's letters and diaries just before Mao took over power. The 1939-45 war was a titanic struggle for the USSR and for China; it was a period of massive and heroic struggles, the world was in the process of great change - and Fu Bingchang was at the epicentre. This book uncovers the real secrets of Chinese-Soviet diplomacy during the Chiang Kaishek years - inside the walls of the Chinese embassy in Moscow.
