摘要、提要註:
With the spread of globalization, worldwide trade links have meant that countries are much more interdependent, leading to national economies increasingly being affected by trends in the globaleconomy. This also means that countries are more at risk from a global recession and the associatedconsequences of this economic downturn. National governments have the ability to shape and influence their economies, and promoteor limit globalization in a way that benefits their economy and the well-being of their population. Government intervention is key in controlling the influence of globalization on a domestic level, and therefore determining its influence globally. This book provides institutional information and uses analytical tools to explains why governments should intervene in economies affected by globalization. With analysis of current country experiences and issues, this bookis an essential read for all interested in the demands on economic policy in this globalized age.
