At this time and within these spaces, radical changes destabilized Britons' sense of individual, local, and national selfhood. Wiley ably illuminates how theBritish literature of migration registered the destabilizations and negotiated new possibilities forinternational, transnational, or globalselves in a new and still-changing world.
