Integration is a hot topic worldwide. National governments around the world are struggling tofind ways of accommodating the increasing number of immigrants crossing their borders and residing in their countries. Despite the research and policy initiatives targeting integration, there are veryfew indications of successful integration initiatives. Immigrants, Literature and National Integration explores new means of facilitating integration. Using the United Kingdom and Germany as case studies, and examining the relation between immigrant literature and integration, this book explores integration in an interdisciplinary fashion across both the humanities and social sciences.
