In response to the PLLR, many experts around the globe pointed out that the abrupt switch from the widely used FDA letter categorization system to the new labeling regulations could negatively impact the decisions of healthcare providers regarding the prescription of drugs to pregnant women. Therefore, it is essential to provide healthcare providers with a credible source of information that connects the old-fashioned FDA letter classification and the new requirements of the PLLR rule.
