摘要、提要註:
Daniela Tepe offers the first systematic analysis of the domestic politics of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines and provides a theoretical framework through which to access these. She contributes to understanding the international campaigning activities of NGOs, the debates on globalization as well as the state and (global) civil society in International Relations, which are at the discipline's forefront since neorealism was first challenged in the 1980s. Examining the enforcement of the landmines campaign in Germany and the UK, the author shows that previous research falls short of providing an insight into the historically specific conditions underlying the success of the campaign in liberal democracies.
