TinREAD allows the user to sort information based on an algorithm that has access. Each field in which the searcher has a certain importance. For example, if the word is found in the search field provided, then that record is considered more important than another in which that word is found in field notes.
By default, the system has enabled ¾ algorithm. By applying an intelligent search mechanism if the user searches, for example, four words at once, the system displays the first records were found all four words, then those that were found in only three. Records have been found just two words are displayed as they are considered not relevant enough and remain outside algorimului four quarters.
Users can choose any of 18 forms of display coupled with the desired sorted (ascending or descending. This can be achieved by selecting the box to the right, above, which sees the default option "Relevance AZ.

Show faceted (Refine Search)
Once a search and display the result, users can refine one to find the information they need. Refining searches can be done by selecting different criteria are available in refining the left side of the screen.
Criteria by which to refine a search, essentially allowing a search in the search already done are:
* Author's name;
* Place of occurrence;
* Year of birth;
* Document language;
* Department / service point (location).
For each of these elements of refining the search is apparent that the number of references that match the selected criteria.
Other important factors are highlighted in the box that appears as a cloud topics present in bibliographic records that were found and meet the general criterion of the initial search. Display type Subject cloud is also a modern method of enhancement of these subjects share presence in the records found in the search. The topic is written in older (larger size) means that the more it is found in bibliographic descriptions resulting from the search.
Finally, the last box on the left side of the screen presents news bulletin. Documents selected and marked by librarians as new documents, with voucher generation appear in the position of the screen.
An important function is given by data syndication. Either opped readers subscribe via RSS to track changes and appearance following new bulletins that report documents entered into library collections using TinREAD program.
In the top left of the screen, just below the simple search field, is the button "Options." Here you can make data filtering criteria such as how documents called for librarians and bibliographic level, ie whether books, serials, collections, parts of books, serials, AV materials. Also, data filtering can be done and by type of support that is information (eg. Paper, disks, network data, microfilm, magnetic tape, etc.).. Finally, data can be shown and localization criterion. Thus each criterion or combination can be used to find the documents after the bibliographical and support are in a particular department / service point (location).
Browsing a list of search displayed
For efficiency, the number of documents on the screen may be set by the user in steps of 10, 20 or 50.
Searches for documents showing the number exceeds the number set to be displayed on one page, separate pages are created. They are numbered and can be accessed independently. They are arranged so the top of the list of results displayed, and the bottom, to decrease the number of commands that a user makes during browsing.
Very useful is the information specifying the number of documents that have met the criteria and resulting from the search. They give a quantitative summary report which is especially significant since the filters were applied and faceted search best relative to user needs.
