The thematic focus rests on new trends and developments, including the rediscovery of economic migration, factors explaining the focus on highly skilled migration, legalization measures, irregular migration, East-West flows, the role of employers and business groups, new positions amongst trade unions, outsourcing of control functions, and service sector liberalization and its implications.
